Our goal is to help connect students with the resources they need for future development through seminars, industry outings and informal gatherings. All ideas and backgrounds are welcome to join and help shape this new organization! You need not even be a member of SPIE. Please forward any questions, comments, suggestions to spie.uw@gmail.com.

Who we are?
The group currently encompasses students and faculty from Astronomy, Biomedical Engineering, Cellular and Molecular Biology, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Medical Physics, and Engineering Mechanics and Aeronautics with an interest in optics and photonics. 

How to get event announcements?

Events are announced through a few different means as listed below:

• On this website: All events are listed in the block on the left.
• Via e-mail announcement: A week before any event a message an announcement will be sent out through our mailing list. A reminder will be sent the day before the event is to take place. To be added to our mailing list, please e-mail us at spie (dot) uw (at) gmail (dot) com. If you attend one of our meetings we can also sign you up for our mailing list.
• On our face book page: Events are listed on our facebook page which can be found here. In addition, pictures from previous events will be posted there.
